Biography - Shelly Mantler

Shelly Mantler is a San Diego-based interior designer and founder of shel.™ jewelry.  For over eight years she has collaborated with some of the nation’s top architects, lighting designers, and custom fabricators, while designing high end furniture and lighting for residential clients.  Shelly’s diverse interior design background has offered her exposure to a large span of interior & architectural styles.

Combined with her expertise in color, proportion and scale, Shelly’s natural eye for design and fashion is the seed of her work.  She has found solace while designing and hand making her one-of-a-kind jewelry collection as well as commissioned pieces for weddings & special events.  Shelly describes her work as sexy, classic, and versatile.  Her sensuous designs use dramatic clusters of hand tied natural materials such as fresh water pearls with chunky raw citrine, drops of smoky topaz, and African Jade.

As a passionate advocate of animal rights, Shelly donates a portion of shel.™ sales to the Humane Society and additional groups that lobby against factory farming. Shelly lives at the beach with her dogs Miss Blue, Miss Piggy, and Teddy, a recent foster from United Hope for Animals.
